The Hansen Foundation is a New Jersey nonprofit providing recovery support services for individuals affected by substance use disorders. They operate Serenity Estates and Serenity Houses for long-term recovery residency, plus Enlightened Farm and the Hansen Foundation Resource Center. They’ve served New Jersey families since 1999.
Why Now
Over the summer, the Hansen Foundation got the news every nonprofit hopes for: the State of New Jersey had approved their Peer Recovery Program. The news came with a catch. They had under two weeks to stand the program up. The program provides coaching services to patients receiving medication-assisted treatment, and without a system to track engagements, goals, and outcomes, the program couldn’t launch.
The Solution
Madison Ave deployed Salesforce Health Cloud using our MX1 delivery methodology, a compressed implementation approach designed for high-stakes short-runway launches. The build supported recovery coaches with patient intake, goal tracking, and session documentation. Conga handled the document workflow for agreements and program forms. Field Service capabilities supported the community-based nature of peer coaching, where coaches meet patients where they are.
The Outcome
- 40+ patients onboarded into the coaching program
- 100+ recovery goals tracked and progressed inside Health Cloud
- 10-day coaching program successfully launched on the state-approved timeline
- Director vision validated with a working system the team actually adopts
Why It Worked
Compressed timelines usually mean scope cuts or post-launch rework. In this case, the MX1 methodology preserved both. We scoped what mattered for day one and explicitly deferred what didn’t, with a documented expansion path for the months after launch. The Hansen team wasn’t left with a prototype to maintain. They were left with a production system that fit how they actually deliver recovery services.
